Bio
It wasn’t until the age of 16 that I knew which direction my life should take. I’ve always been very fond
of video games, thanks to my dad who introduced me to them. One of my other hobbies was browsing
the internet and art books, looking for amazing artwork done by a whole variety of people. I was so
in awe of what these people could make, I wanted to try it out for myself. So, at the age of 16, I started
drawing with the help of tutorials on the internet and art books from the local library. I purchased my
first tablet when I found out those things existed (!) and learned to use Photoshop to create digital artwork.
I was having so much fun with my new found hobby, that I knew what I wanted to do: combine
my new found creativity with my other great passion: video games. I found out the Utrecht School of
Art and Technology was setting up a new course called Game Art, which is in a nut shell, exactly
what I was looking for. So fresh from High School I enrolled in this course to chase my dreams: be a Game Artist!
